  • The selected devices were moved to the device group Demo:

  • Not all functions are available in the Lite Edition. If you are working with the Professional Edition of Confire Cloud, you have the option to send a settings template to multiple devices. You can find detailed instructions here.

Automatic reassignment of a device to a new agent

When a device changes networks, Confire Cloud automatically assigns it to the tenant responsible for the new network. This ensures that communication between the device and the cloud remains continuously available without requiring manual intervention.

Example

  • Before the network change, the device was assigned the IP address 172.19.114.235 and belonged to the tenant Einstein-Schule:

  • After the network change, the device receives the new IP address 192.168.1.234 and is automatically assigned to the tenant Goethe-Schule:

View settings

You have the option, depending on the edition, to view the settings of a device and then edit them if desired.

  • Next to a device, click the three dots and select View settings:

Confire Cloud connects to the device and loads the settings into a popup window. This may take a few seconds. The settings are organized into the columns “Device Management”, “Network Management”, and “Admin Settings”, displayed in the same familiar layout as the device’s web settings:

Edit settings

  • To change the display language, for example, click the pencil icon on the right:

  • Select a different language and then click Save:

  • To save the new settings, click the disk icon in the top right:

  • Successful saving is confirmed. Click OK to close the popup window:

Block devices

  • Click the Block devices button to add a device to the block list:

  • The device is removed from the device view:

  • The device can be found in the device block list:

  • To unblock the device, click the Unblock device button:

  • The device is returned to the device view:

Add devices

  • Devices are automatically detected by the agent when the devices and the agent are on the same network. New devices are added to the Ungrouped group:

Online/status indicator for agents

  • If an agent service fails or communication between the agent and Confire Cloud is interrupted for 5 minutes or longer, the system displays a status indicator in the device view for all devices assigned to that agent:

  • This status can also be viewed under Agents / Networks:
