Devices

Status Information

The device overview is the area where the administrator most frequently works to gain an overview of the status of all devices in your infrastructure and perform functions:

1. Device Status Offline

The device has been unreachable for over 1 minute.

2. Device Status Online

The device is reachable.

3. Device Details

An additional text field.

4. Device SSID

The device name found on the endpoint.

5. Device Group

Device group with the number of devices.

6. Device Type

Displays the device model, e.g., "EZCast Pro Dongle II" or "QuattroPod."

7. Firmware Version

The installed firmware version of the device.

8. Device IP Address

The IP address assigned to the device.

9. Tenant Selection Menu

Display devices of all or selected tenants.

10. Menu Items

  • Functions for managing one or multiple devices, including:
    • Restart
    • Delete device
    • Provision
    • Set password
    • Reset
    • Update firmware
    • Move one or more devices to a group

  • Functions for managing a single device, including:
    • View settings
    • Password
    • Move a device to a group

13. Tenant

The tenant to which the device belongs.

Adding Devices

  • Click on Agents/Networks in the left pane:

  • Select the agent in your target network and then click the gear icon to perform a discovery:

  • Now return to Devices:

  • Newly added devices are added to the group Ungrouped. To assign an admin password to the device, click on the lock icon:

  • You can enter the device's admin password in the Enter Password field.

  • If you are using the Professional Edition of Confire Cloud, you have the option to enter a predefined password:

  • To assign a device to a Group, click on the three dots:

In the top right under the three dots, there are several menu items that allow you to perform different functions on multiple devices simultaneously:

  • Select one or more devices. With one click, you can select all devices in a group:

  • Click on the three dots and select the desired function:

  • In this example, we want to move all devices to another group:

  • The selected devices have been moved to the device group Demo:

  • Not all functions are available in the Lite Edition. If you are using the Professional Edition of Confire Cloud, you have the option to send a template of settings to multiple devices. A detailed guide on this can be found here.

View Settings

You have the option in the editions to view the settings of a device and then edit them if desired.

  • Next to a device, click on the three dots and select View Settings:

Confire Cloud connects to the device and loads the settings into a popup window. This may take a few seconds. The settings are sorted in the familiar view of the device's web settings under the columns "Device Management," "Network Management," and "Admin Settings":

  • For example, to change the display language, click on the pencil icon on the right:

  • Select a different language. Then click Save:

  • To save the new settings, click on the diskette icon in the top right:

  • A successful save will be confirmed. Click OK to close the popup window:
