Device Passwords

Overview¶

Each device has an administration password. To manage devices, Confire Cloud must store and communicate the correct password each time it interacts with a device.

Newly added devices are placed in the group Ungrouped.

• To assign an admin password to the device, click on the lock icon:

When it comes to managing device passwords, there are two key differences between the editions of Confire Cloud:

Lite¶

• With the Lite Edition, the password must be entered manually for each device:

• To change the existing password entry for a device, select Password under the three dots on the right of the device:

• Update the password and click OK:

Professional¶

• With the Professional Edition, a predefined password can be assigned to multiple devices:

• To define a new password, click on the Device Groups feature:

• Click on the plus icon in the top right:

• Enter a name and the password. Then click OK:

• The created password is displayed and is now available as a predefined password:

• Return to Devices:

• Now you can select an entire group of devices with one click:

• Select the menu option Set Password:

• Choose the predefined password:

• A password has been assigned to multiple devices:
